 The Cooktown in West Virginia is located in Pocahontas County. It was originally known as "Cook's Town" and was founded in 1892. The town was named after John Cook, a local businessman. 

Cooktown is a small town with a population of just over 100 people. It is located in the heart of the West Virginia mountains and is surrounded by beautiful scenery.
