Here is a list of caves in Pocahontas County, West Virginia:
- Martha's Cave: This cave
is located about 1.9 miles southwest of Hillsboro and contains over a
mile of mapped passage, including one large room that is 600 feet long,
60 feet high, and has a large waterfall.
- Poor Farm Cave: This cave is located near Martha's Cave and contains three passages totaling over 3,300 feet in length.
- Snedegar's Cave: This
cave is located south of Jacox and has two entrances that open into a
passage that expands into a room that is 600 feet long, 40 to 100 feet
wide, and up to 40 feet high. The passage continues for over 1,400 feet,
with several other passages forming a maze of crawlways.
- Walt Allen Cave: This
cave is located in the Clover Lick Valley and has passages reaching
1,540 feet in length, including a 140-foot vertical drop. It also has
one of the largest rooms of any cave in West Virginia.
- Shinaberry Cave: This cave is also located in the Clover Lick Valley and has a surveyed length of 2,800 feet.
