Improved their state test scores

All 55 counties in West Virginia improved their state test scores from 2022 to 2023, according to the West Virginia Department of Education.

The largest improvement was in math, where the percentage of students proficient increased by 2%. The percentage of students proficient in English language arts (ELA) and science also increased by 1%.
