Thanks to Walt Helmick There is no crisis!!

Walt Helmick did something very, very special for Pocahontas that protects us from cutting teachers and hence school programs.

He sponsored legislation that ensures low density counties such as ours are funded at 1400 students.  We have about 945 students.

Thus we get funding of 1.48 more than counties with over 1400 students.

Thanks to Walt we get 48% more money per student

than higher density counties.

This crisis is to justify a tax levy!
