The Boswell family of Pocahontas County

 The Boswell family of Pocahontas County, West Virginia, is a long and distinguished one. The first Boswells to settle in the area were Edward and Sarah Boswell, who came from Virginia in the early 1800s. They were farmers and merchants, and they established a homestead near Marlinton.
