Judy Garland's grandmother, Effie Emogene Gumm, is buried in the Ewing Cemetery in Marlinton, West Virginia. The cemetery is located on Ewing Ridge Road, about 3 miles outside of Marlinton.

Effie Gumm was born in 1853 in Pennsylvania. She married Frank Gumm in 1870, and they had four children, including Ethel Gumm, who would later become Judy Garland. Effie Gumm was a devout Christian, and she was active in the First Presbyterian Church in Marlinton. She died in 1938.

The Ewing Cemetery is a small, family-owned cemetery. It is the final resting place for many of the Gumm family members, including Effie Gumm, her husband, Frank Gumm, and their four children. The cemetery is also the final resting place for William Ewing, a Revolutionary War veteran who gave his name to the Williams River.

The Ewing Cemetery is a quiet and peaceful place. It is a reminder of the Gumm family's roots in Pocahontas County, and it is a place where Judy Garland's grandmother can rest in peace.
