Jones Cemetery is a private cemetery located on Jackson River Turnpike (VA Route 687) in Bath County Virginia near its southern border with Alleghany County Virginia. The sign at the cemetery along the road says JONES CEMETERY.

The cemetery was established in the early 1800s and is the final resting place for many members of the Jones family, as well as other local families. The oldest grave in the cemetery is that of William Jones, who died in 1820.

The cemetery is well-maintained and is a peaceful place to reflect on the past. There are a number of beautiful trees in the cemetery, and the views of the surrounding mountains are stunning.

  • Turn right onto VA Route 687 and follow it for 2 miles.
  • The cemetery will be on your left.
