Roman's Road to Salvation

Imagine you're playing a giant game with God. The goal is to reach paradise, a super awesome place full of joy and happiness. But here's the catch: everyone makes mistakes, like breaking the rules of the game. These mistakes are called sins, and they act like walls blocking you from paradise.

The "Roman's Road to Salvation" is like a map helping you understand how to overcome those walls and reach paradise. Here are the key steps:

1. Everyone's on the wrong path: Romans 3:23 says we all, even the good guys, messed up the game (sinned) and can't reach paradise on our own. Think of it like a giant traffic jam blocking the way.

2. The bad news about those walls: Romans 6:23a explains that sin has consequences, like being stuck outside paradise forever. It's not just a small bump on the road, but a huge wall made of thorny bushes.

3. The good news: a bridge appears! Romans 5:8 tells us that God loves us so much, he didn't want us stuck. He built a bridge over the thorny wall! This bridge is Jesus, his son, who lived a perfect life and then took our punishment for sin by dying on the cross. It's like Jesus offered to take the blame for everyone's mistakes and clear the path!

4. Crossing the bridge: Romans 10:9-13 says all we have to do is walk onto the bridge Jesus built. This means believing in him with all our hearts (really trusting that he saved us) and saying "thank you" for clearing the way. It's like accepting an invitation to paradise!

5. Welcome to paradise!: When we cross the bridge, Romans 6:23b tells us we receive God's gift of eternal life – living forever in paradise with him! It's like entering a magical land of endless happiness and friendship with God.
