The Big Question

 

 

 

The President of the Pocahontas County Commission were excluded from a public meeting of the Solid Waste Authority.  The subject was the future of Solid Waste Disposal for Pocahontas County which involved two elected representatives of the people in Pocahontas County.  

The question is this:  Why would the Solid Waste Authority exclude the two persons who represented the taxpaying citizens and at the same time enter into a secret discussions behind closed doors  with the two private persons who had a vested interest in the financial outcome of the meeting.

The 2nd question:  What have the Mayor and the County Commission President done to protest this event?  The president of the county commission's office is up for election.
