West Virginia K-12 Content Standards



Key Subject Areas and Standards:

    English Language Arts:
        Reading: Students will develop strong reading comprehension, vocabulary, and fluency skills.   


    Writing: Students will learn to write effectively for various purposes, including persuasive, narrative, and informative writing.


    Speaking and Listening: Students will develop strong communication skills, including listening attentively and speaking clearly.

Mathematics:

    Number Sense and Operations: Students will develop a strong understanding of numbers, operations, and algebraic thinking.


    Geometry: Students will learn about shapes, measurement, and spatial reasoning.
    Data Analysis and Probability: Students will learn to collect, analyze, and interpret data.
