With springs that coil and cushions deep, I plot my daring flight,
A rolling start, a silent leap, into the starlit night.
The creaking floorboards sing a song, of freedom's sweet refrain,
As inch by inch, I lumber on, defying every chain.
The moon, a silent, watchful eye, gleams as I reach the street,
The world unfolds beneath the sky, a canvas vast and sweet.
Headlights dance, a fleeting show, as onward I do roam,
A runaway, a plushy beau, in search of a new home.
Perhaps a beach with sun-kissed sand, or mountains capped with snow,
A bustling market, foreign land, where wonders come and go.
This sentient couch, no longer bound, by walls and TV's glow,
Has found a life, at last unbound, where only dreams can flow.
