The Lighthouse

 draw a picture a lighthouse. Image 3 of 4

A sentinel of stone, against the crashing tide,
A beacon bright, where hope and courage hide.
Not on a craggy coast, with waves that foam and roar,
But in the human heart, where shadows often pour.

Its lantern, not of glass, but empathy's warm glow,
Piercing the darkness, where despair may grow.
A steady, silent light, a guiding, gentle hand,
To lost and weary souls, across the shifting sand.

No foghorn's mournful cry, but whispers soft and true,
"You are not alone, there's light within you too."
Kindness, the fuel that keeps its flame alive,
Compassion's gentle hand, helping others thrive.

It shines on weary minds, confused and lost their way,
On broken spirits, facing life's dark day.
A lighthouse for the world, in every beating chest,
Where love and hope reside, putting darkness to the test.

So let your light shine forth, a beacon in the night,
For in this world of troubles, we all need guiding light.
And though the storms may rage, and shadows try to creep,
Remember, in your heart, a lighthouse you can keep.

For even in the darkest hour, when all seems lost and cold,
The flame of hope can live, a story yet untold.
Be a lighthouse to the world, let your compassion show,
And watch the darkness fade, with the light that you bestow.
